Yoga, Pilates & Wellbeing Retreat Weekend at St Marks House, Cumbria, Lake District


We will be hosting our 2021 weekend Retreat at St Marks set in the beautiful Cumbria in the Lake District.

St Marks is character filled house in the stunning landscape of Cumbria & the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Providing an inspiring and relaxing place for people to nourish themselves spiritually, physically and emotionally while connecting with the beautiful North Yorkshire Dales.

The separate Yoga/Pilates space has wooden floors, high ceilings and lots of natural light flooding in making it the perfect place to expand on or kick-start your Yoga & Pilates practice.

Throughout the weekend you will be eating carefully planned homemade nutritious meals, snacks, juices & smoothies to help support your Yoga & Pilates & Well being practice, also giving ideas for recipes to try when back home. All meals on retreat are Vegetarian with gluten free options too. If you have a specific dietary requirement please specify this when booking your place and we will ensure everyone is catered for appropriately.

There will be both Yoga and Pilates workshops running throughout the weekend and we are also including Pranayama (Breath control) Yoga Nidra (Yogic sleep) and Meditation Workshops. The Yoga style will be a combination of Yin, Vinyasa & Ashtanga. We welcome all levels to join us whether you have practiced Yoga or Pilates before as we will ensure your working at the appropriate level/intensity.

Other activities – Walk around the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, the option to participate in a fun group activity or you can just relax by the open fires in the house and watch the world go by.

Cant make it for the whole weekend? We also have a limited amount of spaces to attend for the day on Saturday 8th May. Arriving from 8.00am onward, starting with Vinyasa Yoga Class followed by breakfast, Pilates workshop, Lunch, Local Walk or Free Time and finishing with a relaxing Restorative and Yin Yoga Workshop.

Arrival from 4.00pm, Welcome Drinks & Snacks, Settle into rooms

5.30pm Welcome Pranyama & Yoga Flow Workshop

6.30pm – Evening Meal

7.30pm – Yin & Yoga Nidra


8.00am – Pranayama & Vinyasa/Ashtanga Yoga

9.30am – Breakfast

10.30am – Workshop – Pilates

12.30pm- Lunch

1.30-4.30pm – Free Time or Optional Afternoon walk

5.30-6.30pm Yin Yoga and Meditation Workshop

7.00pm – Evening Meal

8.00pm Onwards – Group Social Activities or free time


8.00am – Pranayama & Vinyasa/Ashtanga Yoga

9.30am – Breakfast

10.30am – Workshop – Pilates

12.00pm – Lunch

2-3pm- Depart St Marks

Food & Refreshments

The food will be fresh, home cooked and wherever possible, organic. Tea, coffee, Herbal Tea’s, none alcoholic drinks and fresh fruit will be available throughout the weekend. If you do feel the need for treats you can bring along your own items however you will be very well fed during your stay. If you would like to have an alcoholic drink during the weekend that’s fine but you will need to bring your own and of course drink responsibly to ensure you get the most out of the weekend.


Rooms at St Marks are all En-Suite Shared Twin Rooms with one room available as a double En-Suite Private Room or Twin Sharing Room.

Do I need to have practiced any Yoga or Pilates before attending a Retreat with us?

No, we welcome beginners up to those who already practice or attend classes regularly. We have kept the numbers to a level where we can ensure lots of personal & group attention where needed.


Payment & Booking Information


£295.00 per person. Accommodation is En-Suite Twin Shared Room

To confirm your place all we require a £100.00 deposit, the remainder of the balance is due 4 weeks before the retreat. We highly recommend getting in touch early as we only have a maximum of 8 spaces.

Once your space is reserved we will email you with payment options to pay in full or spread out the cost.

Payment? – We require payment by direct bank transfer or if paying by debit card/credit card we can send you a secure payment link (this option will incur a transaction fee)
